CASE 159
Creation of rotor hammermill
The Challenge
- New construction of a hammer mill rotor, the original manufacturer could no longer supply a new rotor
- Making mounting and dismounting method more efficient
- Modifying existing hammer mill rotor for more efficient change in and out process
- Unburdening by having the parts inventory managed by Uptimise
The Solution
- Design and realization of new hammer mill rotor
Upgrading installation and removal methods - Modify existing hammer mill rotor with new build-in and build-out methodology
- Setting up spare parts management
Production profits
- In case of damage to the hammer mill, a lot of time is lost in assembling and disassembling the rotor. The construction of the rotor is not designed to efficiently supply the rotor with new parts and have it running again as soon as possible.
- The creation of a backup rotor, together with an optimization of the assembly and disassembly method that is also applied to the existing rotor and the spare parts management will result in a much shorter assembly and disassembly time for the customer.
- This creates a total relief in the availability of the hammer mill, which will ensure a higher production profit.
